When I wrote Expect Big Change in Big Food in July, what I didn’t have in mind was Robert F. Kennedy Jr. taking on (or taking over) the FDA or HHS. In August, RFK Jr. dropped out of the presidential race and backed Donald Trump. And a few days ago, as we all know, the Trump ticket won resounding electoral and popular contests in what the talking heads are calling a “mandate.” No doubt this emboldens Trump and those in his inner circle, including RFK Jr., to pursue their campaign pledges with great gusto.
